The Sonic Alchemy of “Breathe in the Space”
Music is my only passion, and every track I create is an invitation to step onto a different kind of dancefloor. Released on August 12, 2026, my latest production, “Breathe in the Space,” is a deeply personal project that explores the delicate, hypnotic balance between raw human emotion and stripped-back electronic grooves.
For me, electronic music is not just about making people move; it is about creating an atmospheric landscape where the mind can wander while the feet stay locked into the rhythm.
The Vision: Composing Around the Voice
The foundation of ‘Breathe in the Space’ began with a haunting vocal hook. Naturally, in underground music, treating a vocal requires a unique approach. For this reason, I did not want a traditional pop mix. I refused to let the voice sit directly on top of the track. In contrast, I wanted the vocal to act as a living instrument. It needed to be an atmospheric layer. Ultimately, it weaves seamlessly through the arrangement.
By stretching the vowels, slicing syllables, and washing the vocals in deep, spacey delays, the voice ultimately, became a guide through the track. As a result, it creates an intimate, introspective mood that commands attention without overpowering the mix.
Crafting the Percussion and Textures
Once I locked in the vocal energy, the real magic happened, and I immediately knew the track’s exact direction. With that vision clear, I turned to the rhythm section, where I wanted the percussion to breathe, echoing the track’s title.
- The Low End: I anchored the groove with a warm, sub-heavy baseline. This element draws inspiration from classic deep house. Consequently, it ensures the track retains a soulful feeling. It delivers that signature late-night warmth.
- The Percussion: Drawing heavily from my love for minimal and rominimal, I designed intricate, micro-percussive patterns. Every shaker, click, and rimshot is micro-timed to create a rolling, hypnotic sway.
- The Energy: I wanted to give the track a true dancefloor driving force. Therefore, I infused subtle elements of tech house. I utilized crisp hi-hats to layer the groove. Additionally, a driving kick drum pushes the momentum forward.
The result is a fluid, evolving structure where every element spins, pans, and morphs around the vocal, creating a continuous tension and release.
From the Studio to the Nightclub
Consequently, ‘Breathe in the Space’ was built specifically for the dark, immersive rooms of a nightclub. More than just a track, it is a tool designed to shift the energy of a room during an extended dj set, taking the crowd from a high-energy peak into a deep, meditative state.
